Before we jump into Norfolk Island’s best kept secrets, remember to take advantage of the car rental included in all of our Norfolk Island packages – although this island is only 8km by 5km, there is 196km of undulating road throughout this secluded piece of paradise!

When you’re planning your trip to Norfolk Island, don’t forget to add the following to your list:

Bumboras Beach

Tucked away on the Southern end of the Island, Bumboras beach is a secluded spot perfect for surfers and sunrise watchers alike. Grab a hot coffee, a picnic rug and a blanket and check out this perfect spot first thing in the morning.

Castaway Brewery

One of the most remote breweries in the South Pacific, Castaway is known for its award-winning cider. Head there on a Friday night to pair your beer or cider with their famous wood fire pizzas (booking essential).

Two Chimneys Winery

Located at Steel’s Point on the Eastern side of the Island, this boutique vineyard and winery boasts local premium and vintage wines paired with locally produced delicacies. This Hall of Fame award winning winery must be pre booked prior to arriving to the Island.

Philip Island

Most people that visit Norfolk Island don’t take the chance to take the short boat ride across to the uninhabited Phillip Island. Juxtaposed with the lush and tropical feel of Norfolk Island, this Island has a reddish-brown earthy terrain. This island is a must see for any avid birdwatchers, being an important breeding site for 12 species of seabirds; including the Sooty Tern (known locally as the Whale Bird).

Horse and Carriage High Tea

Looking for that extra special experience to top of your already amazing trip to Norfolk Island? Look no further than a magical Clydesdale horse & carriage ride past the colossal Moreton Bay Figs and through the beautiful Hundred Acres Reserve. This experience is topped off with a scrumptious home-made high tea back at the stable – running daily at 2pm, bookings are essential due to limited numbers.
