Champions League final tickets will cost up to £515… but fans WON’T have to travel in club bubbles | Daily Mail Online

Chelsea fans hoping to go to the Champions League final in Porto can expect to pay up to £515 for a ticket after the club announced details for the May 29 showpiece on Wednesday.

The Blues have received an allocation of 5,800 tickets for the final, which will go on sale first to members of the UEFA Away Scheme, and then to season ticket holders on a loyalty point basis.

Unlike Manchester City, who announced on Tuesday that they would pay travel costs for the 6,000 fans heading to Portugal as well as the Covid tests, Chelsea have not offered to pay for match-going fans’ Covid tests and will only be subsidising part of supporters’ travel to the final.

Chelsea club members can expect to pay up to £550 for the Porto showpiece this month

Category 1: £515

Tickets will first go on sale from Thursday, May 20 with those a part of the UEFA Away Scheme to get first dibs from 8am. Supporters are only able to purchase one ticket per person.

Then, throughout the morning and afternoon, Chelsea club members and season ticket holders will be able to enter to get their tickets.

Chelsea went on to confirm their pricing for tickets for the final, with Category 1 tickets setting back fans £515, Category 2 costing £386.50 per ticket, Category 3 then set at £154.50 a ticket then Category 4, Ambulant and Wheelchair users set at £60 per ticket.

It has not been revealed where exactly each category ticket will place fans in the stadium but the highest-paying ticket would usually get fans close to the pitch.

All Blues fans lucky enough to get their hands on a ticket will need to provide a negative PCR test 72 hours before entering the Estadio do Dragao and then a negative antigen test within 48 hours before entering the stadium, as per UEFA guidelines.

The Blues have also announced that match-going fans won’t have to travel in club bubbles

Chelsea also announced that supporters will not be required to complete medical declaration forms.

While City fans are being treated to free travel  to the Portuguese city, Chelsea have offered fans travel packages, which will be priced at £199 per person plus the cost of the match ticket.

It is understood though that supporters who travel independently to Portugal but have a valid ticket will not be turned away at the stadium, with quarantine-free travel between the UK and Portugal now possible.

The 24-hour round trip option is designed to lessen the impact on Porto as the host city.
