The Minstermen are looking to bounce back from defeat against Eastleigh when they take on Maidenhead United away from home this Saturday in the first game of a bank holiday weekend double header.

The York City faithful make the long trip down to Berkshire to visit York Road, the oldest continuously-used football ground by the same club, ahead of a bumper Bank Holiday Monday home fixture against Oldham Athletic.

York Road was first used by the Ravens in 1871, having previously been home to Maidenhead Cricket Club but this will be York City’s first ever visit, with the two clubs set to meet for the very first time.

City face a tough task at the aptly-named York Road, with all six of Maidenhead’s points this season coming from home wins. They started their season with a heavy 3-0 defeat at Notts County, ahead of home wins against Scunthorpe United and Altrincham, before another defeat on the road at Dagenham & Redbridge.

Meanwhile, the Minstermen have picked up four points from the opening four games, and failed to score for the first time this campaign in the 1-0 defeat at home to Eastleigh.

The match will be SEGREGATED for visiting supporters, all of whom should please enter via the Bell Street entrance to the ground.

Away tickets are available to be purchased in advance on Maidenhead’s ticketing website – Click Here

If there are any unsold tickets, these will be available for purchase on the Bell Street turnstile on matchday.

If you’re purchasing in advance online, make sure it is an ‘Away fans general admission’ selection that you add to the basket. Alternatively, Maidenhead United have stated that York City fans are more than welcome to buy tickets for their hospitality offering.

For the programme collectors amongst you, we have been advised that programme sell-outs are not uncommon at York Road. To avoid disappointment, a pre-order service is available before the Thursday morning prior to the match – Click Here
