MATCH PREVIEW | Minstermen travel to Maidstone United for first National League away game
York City make the trip down to Maidstone United for their first National League away game of the 2022/23 season this Saturday.
The Kent-based side, who were promoted as National League South champions last season, opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw at Altrincham Town where Chris Conn-Clarke levelled the scoring after a Liam Brockbank own goal gave Maidstone the lead.
Meanwhile, the Minstermen kicked off the season with a 2-0 home victory against Woking FC with Maz Kouhyar and Michael Duckworth on the scoresheet.
The newly promoted clubs will meet for the first time since the 2016/17 National League season, when the two teams shared 1-1 draws home and away.
