The Minstermen are back on the road this weekend when they travel down to Lincolnshire to take on bottom-of-the-league Scunthorpe United.

John Askey’s side came from behind on Tuesday evening to secure a 2-1 win against Bromley, which saw the club move up into seventh and into the National League playoff places.

The win also extended the club’s current unbeaten run to four games and Askey’s side will be hoping to extend that run further on Saturday against The Iron in a Vanarama National League match.

Scunthorpe come into this game off the back of a 2-2 draw against Altrincham on Tuesday evening, which ended a run of six straight defeats in the National League. They also haven’t won since the opening day of the season when they secured a 2-1 win over Yeovil at home.

Here’s the key information ahead for our trip to Glanford Park for a 3pm Saturday afternoon kick-off:

This match is NOT all-ticket and Scunthorpe will be accepting on the day walk ups, but our hosts strongly advise booking in advance.

City supporters will be situated in the AMS stand, the area designated for away fans. Tickets for this weekend’s game can be bought here

Advance ticket prices are as follows

£23 – Adults

£16 – Concessions (18-21, Students and Over 65’s)

Prices for on the day sales will be slightly higher, so we encourage booking in advance and confirming your place now!

PAY ON THE DAY: Supporters can pay on the day by purchasing online or by visiting the ticket office with payment by card or contactless only (in the Easy Buy Stand) or matchday ticket booth (in the corner between the Britcon and East Stands).

Please note, full matchday prices apply and there is no payment on the turnstiles. Fans are able to pay cash at the corner ticket booth between the Britcon and East Stands, which opens 90 minutes before kick-off.

Travel/Parking

Places on the Supporters’ Coach from our official travel provider – York Pullman – are available for £20. Pickup is 11:30am from Memorial Gardens in York City Centre, with Acomb collection 10 minutes later.

For more information, or to book your place, contact York Pullman on: 01904 630444

Scunthorpe Railway Station is over two miles away from Glanford Park. Taxi is probably the easiest way to reach the Stadium.

However, if you have time on your hands and feel like walking it, turn left out of the station and head towards the crossroads (facing a church) and turn right into Oswald Road, going past a set of traffic lights and the Honest Lawyer and Blue Bell pub.

At the next traffic lights turn left into Doncaster Road, go straight down this road and you will eventually reach the Sands Venue Stadium on your left.

If you’re travelling by car, then the ground is on the outskirts of Scunthorpe, making it easy to find from the motorway.

Leave the M180 at Junction 3 and take the M181 for Scunthorpe. At the end of this motorway, you will see the ground on your right. Turn right at the first roundabout onto the A18 and right again into the large car park at the ground, which costs £3.

The car park holds 600 cars and is for both home and away fans.
